Hello, I am back after a few days visiting with friends from out of town and focusing on getting all my nonprofit paperwork completed, which included adding copies of Global Alternative Learning Systems (G.A.L.S.) website. It was very difficult for me to find copies of financial information to include in the paperwork, as well as run two brand new websites. This whole website/blog experience is still very advanced for me (since May 2021), and until I can pull all the resources together to have my websites professionally manicured and maintained, I will be in charge of them for now. I have been using WordPress and I am still on a huge learning curve, so please, if you can, send me some helpful tips in the comments on how to better organize my websites (best themes, analytics tips, linking social media, adding email, sizing images, etc).
Today, the IRS is expecting our response to their additional information request letter based on the 1023 form I submitted to get G.A.L.S. nonprofit approved for tax exempt status. I have all the paperwork prepared, I am still refining the website before I print the pages and fax them off. Manifesting positive thoughts about G.A.L.S. approval, especially since I have had over six months to think about all the different education programs I wanted to create for the new municipal education system.
Last Saturday, August 21, 2021, was G.A.L.S. first birthday! I am so happy, grateful, and proud of how much they have grown this last year. Starting with the filing of the Oregon business license in August 2020, then the first business board meeting in September 2020, and submitting the IRS 1023 paperwork the first time in December 2020. In 2021, G.A.L.S. are at our next crossroads of becoming approved for nonprofit status and beginning to build the foundations of our municipal education systems. Please wish G.A.L.S. luck!
