Artistic Inspirations: Outdoor Nature Scenes

Welcome back to Art Thursdays of my B.R.E.A.T.H.S. blog where I invite you into Brainerd’s Brushstrokes and Photography studio. This is a space where I share my art. For the four weeks this April, I will be posting about my artistic inspirations.The first week, I  shared some of my favorite inspirational artists. Last week, I shared two cities that inspire me to paint, Long Beach, California, and Paris, France. This third week, I am posting several of my abstract paintings inspired by outdoor nature scenes. Please enjoy.

    1. Thank you, Jeanine, for your comment and questions. ! I have created over 100 paintings in the last 10 years, most of them I gave away to family, friends, and coworkers. I sold about a handful of them to both friends and strangers off the street, and a couple trades. The only display hall I have had them in was my own hallway or in my classrooms. Mostly I create them because it a type of artistic meditation and I love to spread joy with art. I am considering painting some series that can be sold at auctions or galleries. Much gratitude for reading and responding.

      I’m in the midst of moving house, and exited to get my atelier set up and discover my next phase of creativity!

  1. I do enjoy these paintings and plan to go back as visit your other blogs on art. Acrylic is my favorite medium although I will work with watercolor from time to time. I am looking forward to next Thursday to see what you will have to share with us. Art is so relaxing and like you, I give most of my finished work to family and friends.
