Welcome back to Art Thursdays of my B.R.E.A.T.H.S. blog where I invite you into Brainerd’s Brushstrokes and Photography studio. During this month, I am sharing the different seasons from my perspective in acrylic paintings, iPhone photography, and a Winter poem. The first week I shared my Autumn Art, this second week below I posted my Winter Art.

Winter Poetry by Jaime Brainerd

Hello, Winter, how do you do?

I see you bring snow, ice, and freezing temperatures with you.

We came prepared with boots, gloves, and stocking caps too.

Can’t wait for the holidays to celebrate with the crew.

Goodbye, Winter, I bid you adieu!

Thank you for reading and viewing,

  1. I like the pictures. I was looking for the ski boots and began to wonder how long you stayed out in the flipflops.
When winter comes I enjoy the first snow fall for a month then start wanting to move south to warmer climates. When the snow is still on the ground in April, it has outstayed its welcome.
How about a poem about that?
    Blog on!

    1. Funny you mentioned snow in April, Doug, that is in fact where the flip flop pics came from because I was not prepared for the late Winter (however, it was taken at the Northeast tip of Minnesota, so it’s kinda expected). I am with you on enjoying the snow temporarily and then snowbirding South to the warmer places. That is probably why I am wearing sundresses and capris in most pics, because I am rarely around cold temperatures due to it’s effects on my body. Sending love, Jaime

    1. Hahaha, Julie, thank you for that feedback, it makes my heart happy! Can you tell my relationship with Winter? You are welcome for the inspiration. Thank you for stopping by to spread some love. Sending love back, Jaime.

    1. Hi Diane, Thank you! Agreed, I am not looking forward to it either, I usually run South from it, lol. Much gratitude for stopping by, Spring and Summer will be in the next two weeks! Sending love, Jaime

  2. Your winter paintings and photographs are all great! I especially like your selfies! Lia loves to draw pictures she sees, she’ll probably draw her impression of one of yours! Hugs and love from us both.

    1. Greetings Martha and Lia, Awe, thank you for the kind words. I love Lia’s art, she is so creative, and I am looking forward to her Friday post tomorrow! Sending love and virtual hugs, Jaime
